COR RÖMIGBERG CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Výrazné a sebevědomé víno založené primárně na odrůdě Cabernet Sauvignon. Intenzivnější rubínově červená barva s fialovými odlesky. Ve vůni komplexní a bohaté, s energickými tóny ostružin, švestek, borůvek, pepře, čokolády nebo lékořice. V ústech plnější, dobře strukturované, skvěle sladěné s čistými ovocnými tóny. Elegantní pití s dobře integrovanými tříslovinami a dlouhou dochutí.
Vinice Römigberg se nachází na severní straně jezera Caldaro, strmé svahy jsou orientované na jih-jihovýchod, 250 - 330 metrů n.m..
Fermentace: spontánní alkoholická fermentace probíhá v nerezových tancích za kontrolované teploty. Nedlouho poté následuje malolaktická fermentace, dále zrání v malých sudech 150 a 225 litrů (přibližně 18 měsíců)
ADVENTUROUS SPIRIT
In the 1980s, discussions with wine-growers from all over the world such as Robert Mondavi, the famous pioneer of wine-growing in America, and various chateau owners in the Bordeaux region encouraged Alois Lageder to introduce Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot in the form of wire trellis system as a replacement for the traditional Schiava. The result, in 1986, was Alto Adige’s first major vineyard with densely planted Guyot-trained vines – a fact that caused much discussion. This site has traditionally been called "Herz" (German for heart or Cor in Latin) and has given the wine its name.
THE RÖMIGBERG WINE ESTATE
The northwest shore of Lake Caldaro lies at the foot of a spectacular steep slope that is one of the best sites in the region. The interaction of different soils and climatic conditions makes this 8-hectare monopole a unique wine-growing playground. It comes very close to our ideal of a farm as a self-contained living organism, with great importance attached to coexistence for human beings, animals and plants. In our case, cows, donkeys and sheep graze between the vines, olive and loquat trees. Bees, chickens, geese and peacocks are also denizens of this very special habitat.
